Trip to Utah and Idaho

Scott and I headed off to Utah for the 2nd reunion of his group of friends from church from after he returned from his mission. Many of them have remained in contact for all these years. Honestly I wasn't really looking forward to it but I had a really nice time. There were other spouses there that felt the same so we enjoyed being together. Debbie, whose parents actually live here in Fairfield in our church congregation (called a ward), I have met before. She found this wonderful 3 story house in Park City, Utah, right at the bottom of the ski slopes. We climbed the hill right behind the house and took a walk among the trees on the slopes together. We also walked down, way down, many steps the two blocks down to the main street where all the shops are. I was really glad we got a room on the first floor! The house was great. The weather was warm and pleasant. It was fun meeting everyone, especially Russ, who was Scott's roomate and best friend. In fact we may get to spend some time with them in Disneyland in December. I got to spend some time working on my computer genealogy too and Debbie and Jeanine got me to sign up for Facebook. I thought that's what a blog was for. I am disappointed though that I still haven't been able to contact my best friend from high school.
We had left Fairfield on Thurs at noon and stayed in Nevada. We both got up and got to exercise in the hotels gym which was nice. Then we drove the rest of the way to Park City arriving around 3:30 Friday. We were there until after church on Sunday. We drove from there to Iona, Idaho to see Jared and Jen and family, including our newest (at the time) grandchild, Zachery (6 weeks). He is adorable of course. (That reminds me of Pat Wight. She ALWAYS said that each successive grandchild was the SMARTEST ever!)
We spent Sunday evening and all day Monday with them. Zachery seemed constantly hungry! He is so sweet. He is certainly a combination of both RJ and Savannah in looks.
I played with the other 2 in the sand box for hours. They painted rocks and we had a water balloon fight too. It was almost a record breaking warm day in Iona. Savannah had her swim suit on. They practically made a swimming pool out of the sand box. They had a great time.
